We recommend you complete the online\nlearning before beginning the pool dives because your understanding of scuba\ndiving is more thorough, and it makes diving easier. You cannot proceed to open\nwater diving until the online learning is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table alignleft\"><tbody><tr><td>  <strong> 2<\/strong>   <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p>In the pool phase, you will learn to assemble and disassemble\ngear, either yours or ours.&nbsp; Gear use is\nincluded for OW students at S and W Diving.&nbsp;\nIn a series of five pool dives, students will master the skills\nnecessary for scuba diving; complete a timed float and a 200-meter swim.\nStudents also learn skin diving (snorkeling) skills.&nbsp; Usually our time in the pool lasts 6-8\nhours.&nbsp; S and W Diving is unique, because\nwe go at your speed.&nbsp; With small classes\nand flexible schedules, students work individually with an instructor until you\nto master scuba skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table alignleft\"><tbody><tr><td>  <strong> 3 <\/strong>  <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p>The final phase of OW certification takes place in Beaver\nLake.&nbsp; We can arrange other locations at an\nadditional cost.
